Devin Patrick Finnin

Hi there,

Well, as you probably all know by now, Devin Patrick Finnin was born on June 21st at 6:02 pm. He weighed 6lbs. 14 ozs. and was 21 inches long.

He is now two months old (today exactly) and weighs 11lbs 7ozs. and is 23 1/2 inches. He is getting so big already. It's hard to believe and to accept. I wish I could keep him small forever! I love the fact that he can just fall asleep right on my chest. It is awesome.

Devin has had some issues with acid reflux and is now on Prevacid, which seems to be working. He finally can be awake and not crying! It has been tough but we made do and seem to be on the upswing.

Here are some pictures!

Love you all!

We found out on Friday that the baby is weighing in at 7lbs 11ozs right now according to the ultrasound guesstimate. The doctor has decided that I won't go past my due date just in the case that he really is that big. If I don't go naturally by Wednesday, June 25th they will induce on that day! Woo-Whoo! It is almost to the end! It seems unreal to have an actual end day instead of just guessing when it will be.

This has meant, however, that we have to make sure we have everything ready to go. My parents got into town on Thursday night and have already been so helpful.

We'll be talking to you soon!

Finished Bathroom

Also as promised, here are some pictures of our finished bathroom. It turned out so much better than I could possibly have imagined. Very happy with the finished product! Thanks so much to my Dad for all of his help. There is no way we could have done it without him.

Hi Everyone!

Here is a picture of me one day shy of 36 weeks. A lot of people have been asking for an updated picture of the belly. Sorry, that it has taken so long.
Everything is going pretty well and we are as ready as you can be for a new baby. Very excited to meet the little guy. Once we figure out where to store all of the baby paraphernalia that is currently littering his room I will add a picture of it. So cute! His bedding is light blue and chocolate brown and has airplanes on it.
We'll make sure to send pictures of the baby once he arrives. 4 (or 5 if he's stubborn) Weeks to Go!

Ok, I have been promising a picture of my growing belly for a while now. So, here we go. This is me in Week 27 which is the end of the 2nd trimester. Only 13 weeks left to go! I'll try to post these pictures more often as I'm sure I'll be getting bigger.

Well, we have just about finished the bathroom. We just have the shower door left to install. My parents left around the same time that we went to Germany so we have to wait for them to come back. They will be back for my shower in April, so until then, no door. I'll post a picture once we get the door in.

Munich was great! It was cold while we were there but we managed to handle it and have a good time. We did a lot of walking! Here are a few pictures of us: one in front of the Neuschwanstein Castle and the other in the Hofbrau Haus. The great thing about Germany is that they have really good non-alcoholic beer. Nothing like the O'Douls we have here. If you want to see more pictures and I haven't sent you the link for Shutterfly email me and I will send it to you.

First Post-Kitchen and Bath Redo

Ok, so we have decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon! Thanks to Marcie for getting it all started.

Todd got this started but since he is currently up to his neck in our bathroom remodel I will make the first post. We have decided to tear out the old tile around the bathtub and shower. Silly me for thinking that this would be an easy project. Since we then wanted to update the faucets, we (I should say they, as in my dad & Todd) had to redo all of the plumbing which is taking a little longer than expected. I don't want to bore you too much with more detials so I will not share anymore. All I will say is...Hopefully, by the time this is complete it will all be worth it.

For those of you who have seen our house, here are a few pictures of how the bathroom looks now. Oh, I also threw in a couple of our kitchen countertop remodel project. We are just some busy bees over here!

Elvis and power tools. What's even funnier is that I have no idea what a "router" actually does...
