Boogers, Farts and Pee- The Joy of a 2 Year Old Boy

So Devin wanted Daddy to take a bath with him last night. Not a big deal right?  Right....

Well here’s how that went. As the water filled the tub my knee was getting warm. It was above the water line so I thought it was a little weird right? I turned my attention to Devin as he smiled and peed on my leg as he giggled. What fun. Next he sneezed and the booger lodged in his nose all day was now floating in the tub like Caddy Shack waiting to find a home somewhere on my body. But wait (no pun intended) it gets better. Little man decides we should be in a poor mans’ Jacuzzi and proceeds to fart a few times. The sent was not lavender I can tell you. Oh the fun. First time I had to shower off after a bath….I love being a Dad!

Hello Again!

Hi there,

I know, I know. It's been awhile. I can't help it, it's hard to keep up with all of the great things that are happening. I also have a hard time getting on the computer when I get home from work!

Ok, so Devin is now 6 1/2 months old. I KNOW, I can't believe it either. He is just beginning to crawl which is really exciting. It is so much fun to watch him learn and discover new things. I hear that he and Sophia have a great time crawling around at Gigi's together. I have yet to see them though. Hopefully, I will soon. Devin has also started eating solid foods, yum. He really likes his oatmeal and prunes but is not a big fan of peas! I actually don't think the peas are all that bad. Pretty much the same as eating them in the round form. Just as mushy!

I am getting ready to send pictures out via Shutterfly but will try and get back to add some here. But now I have to go to bed!

Lots of love to you all!

Devin Patrick Finnin

Hi there,

Well, as you probably all know by now, Devin Patrick Finnin was born on June 21st at 6:02 pm. He weighed 6lbs. 14 ozs. and was 21 inches long.

He is now two months old (today exactly) and weighs 11lbs 7ozs. and is 23 1/2 inches. He is getting so big already. It's hard to believe and to accept. I wish I could keep him small forever! I love the fact that he can just fall asleep right on my chest. It is awesome.

Devin has had some issues with acid reflux and is now on Prevacid, which seems to be working. He finally can be awake and not crying! It has been tough but we made do and seem to be on the upswing.

Here are some pictures!

Love you all!

We found out on Friday that the baby is weighing in at 7lbs 11ozs right now according to the ultrasound guesstimate. The doctor has decided that I won't go past my due date just in the case that he really is that big. If I don't go naturally by Wednesday, June 25th they will induce on that day! Woo-Whoo! It is almost to the end! It seems unreal to have an actual end day instead of just guessing when it will be.

This has meant, however, that we have to make sure we have everything ready to go. My parents got into town on Thursday night and have already been so helpful.

We'll be talking to you soon!

Finished Bathroom

Also as promised, here are some pictures of our finished bathroom. It turned out so much better than I could possibly have imagined. Very happy with the finished product! Thanks so much to my Dad for all of his help. There is no way we could have done it without him.

Hi Everyone!

Here is a picture of me one day shy of 36 weeks. A lot of people have been asking for an updated picture of the belly. Sorry, that it has taken so long.
Everything is going pretty well and we are as ready as you can be for a new baby. Very excited to meet the little guy. Once we figure out where to store all of the baby paraphernalia that is currently littering his room I will add a picture of it. So cute! His bedding is light blue and chocolate brown and has airplanes on it.
We'll make sure to send pictures of the baby once he arrives. 4 (or 5 if he's stubborn) Weeks to Go!
